Why Choose a Far Infrared Sauna Dome?
With an Infrared sauna, especially a portable infrared sauna dome is more effective at heating the body than traditional dry saunas. Traditional saunas heat the air around you in order to heat the body from the surface. Far infrared rays pentrate deep below the skins surface, in order to heat the body from within.
By the nature of portable far infared sauna's method of heating, you don't need nearly as much heat in order to achieve the same benefits. Many people feel uncomfortable or claustrophic when experience the high direct heat of traditional dry saunas. This is heavily mitigated when using a far infrared sauna.
Why Choose a Portable Sauna?
A sauna dome is much more convient than a traditional cabin-style sauna. The have less space commitment, are require less electricity. A Portable infrared sauna dome can be connected simply off of a standard 110V outlet. A 1Love sauna dome also easily stores away while not in use, this allows for you to have a sauna experience truly whereever you choose.
Infrared Sauna and EMF
When using a sauna dome, it is extremely important to be confident in the true EMF levels. EMF can wreak havoc on the body, contributing to many harmful health effects when at high levels. Many infrared sauna companies claim they have third party testing that is trust. While this is often true, they also tend to remove or modify their heating elements, prior to sending them to the companies. This gives them a 'trust' but false reading of EMF.
1Love far infrared sauna domes specifically are tested in the fully assembled position, and completely unmodified. There are also tested with three different EMF readers to ensure an accurate measurement.
Overall Avg EMF: 0.148mG
How Hot Should An Infrared Sauna Get?
An Infrared sauna is generally much less hot than a traditional sauna. Since a traditional sauna has to heat the air around your body, they must be substantially hotter. Since an infrared sauna directly heats the body, it doesn't take nearly as much heat to produce the same benefits. Generally, you can experience benefits of infrared heat starting at around 120-150 degrees Fahrenheit for most people.
A 1love far infrared sauna dome has a maximum temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit. This is to ensure even the most experience saunas users can still get the experience of their choosing. This is important because with frequent heat exposure the body can slowly become heat adapted, so you would want an infrared sauna that is fully adjustable to your needs.
What Heating Elements Are Used?
1Love sauna domes use carbon infrared heaters for many reasons. Carbon heating elements generally heat up quicker than ceramic heating elements. Additonally, carbon heating elements are easier to shield from EMF, this is what allows for us to offer the lowest EMF portable sauna on the market.
Why is Lying Down in a Sauna Good?
Lying down in something like a sauna down helps relieve your body's circulatory system of the demands of gravity. This means when using this portable infrared sauna, you may even see amplified benefits because blood can flow more so than in a cabin-style infrared sauna. Additionally, a sauna dome is simply the most comfortable way to sauna. Many people simply set the timer on the control box and take a nap, while getting all of the benefits of infrared heat, this is something that would never happen with a cabin-style or wooden sauna.
Carbon Heaters vs Ceramic Heaters?
We choose to use carbon heaters in our sauna domes for many different reasons. With ceramic infrared sauna heaters, they generally take far longer to heat up and may be a bit more intense in some spots. This could leave potential for hot spots and overall uneven heating in your infrared sauna. We specifically use carbon heating wire for durability and heat distribution over carbon panels. Carbon panels will likely need to be replaced far earlier than any sort of heating wire would. In our sauna domes, carbon heating wire is placed closely and evenly throughout the entire infrared sauna, whereas with panels, they can't be placed all around you which will lead to some hot spots and cold spots.
Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna vs Far Infrared Sauna?
We don't implement near infrared into our sauna dome for a reason. Near infrared is commonly used for it's benefits on skin, but far infrared has skin health benefits as well. The issue is that near infrared is not actually hot is doesn't help heat your indoor sauna. This means some of your power output would be dedicated toward near infrared in a full spectrum sauna, reducing the overall heating capabilities of the sauna. This is why we stick to far infrared, we want to give you an amazing and hot infrared sauna experience, while not sacrificing any health benefits.
Is The Sauna Dome an Outdoor Sauna?
The sauna dome can function as an outdoor sauna; however it is not made to consistently handle any sort of harsh weather or sunlight, this is why we typically only recommend the sauna dome as an indoor sauna.
Indoor Sauna vs Outdoor Sauna?
Outdoor saunas are very cool looking, but come at several costs, such as overall price, power usage, space dedication and especially preheat time. With an indoor sauna you have a relatively controlled environment which means you can use efficient heating methods such as infrared. outdoor saunas typically are traditional saunas with a wood burning stove or electric stove. Especially if outdoor temperatures are low, preheat times can be upwards of 1-2 hours. If you choose to run them 24/7 you may wear your materials pre maturely and use tons of power.
Infrared Sauna vs Steam Sauna
Steam saunas are very different to infrared. With the rise of steam sauna tents, this may have you wonder which is right for you. Steam saunas help heat the body mainly from the humidity. Since your body tries to cool off by sweating, the moisture sends a signal to your body to try and cool down because of the wet surface of your skin. Infrared saunas heat the body from within because infrared rays are made to heat the body and not just the air around you. Typically it is very hard to get the same benefits from a steam sauna because the temperature is so low you may not have as elevated of a core body temperature, which is the biggest driver of health benefits. Steam saunas by nature also must be placed in a environment that isn't subject to mold. Which limits your options a lot. A Far infrared sauna can truly be used anywhere which is just another reason why they're so great.
What Type of Power is Used?
The 1Love Infrared Dome uses a standard wall outlet of 110V and 1200W overall power. This makes it super easy and convenient for you to use your personal home saunas, anywhere. There's no need for creating a dedicated 20amp circuit like many cabin-style infrared saunas require. Because the heating elements are so close to the body, this 1200W is extremely power and will deliver an overall more intense experience than many cabin-style home infrared saunas for your entire body.
Exceptional Far Infrared Benefits
A far infrared sauna can truly be transformative in your journey to better health. Some people refer to theses as a curve sauna dome, essentially they are portable saunas that can be placed anywhere of your choosing, allowing you to leverage far infrared sauna benefits daily.
The health benefits of a infrared sauna therapy include: Lowered muscle pain, weight loss, improved immune system function, decreased joint pain, decreased joint stiffness, improved blood flow, improved brain function, improved hormone secretion, improved blood pressure and many more. Just an overall healing heat experiene
Why Do You Get Benefits From a Sauna?
Infrared technology is an amazing method of heating the body. This extreme heat allows for your core temperature to rise. The elevation of core temperature is generally where the health benefits arise.
Far infrared heat wavelengths are long and penetrate deep below the skins surface into the muscles, joints and organs of the body. This creates an up-regulation your bodies natural functions. This is partially why sauna bathing can help decrease risk of cardiovascular disease, because it's a form of exercise on the heart and cardiovascular system.
Does a Sauna Detox?
Sauna bathing in general is a great method of detoxing the body. An infrared sauna is particularly good at this due to it's method of deeply heating the body. Many people assume that the detox comes from the sweat, but in reality most comes from all methods that the body excretes toxins, even through urine.
Far infrared heat technology heats the body deeply which improves blood flow and function of organs. If you are someone who has high levels of heavy metals, or even high levels of pesticides, you can heavily benefit from detoxing with a sauna.
Important Note: If you are someone that truly needs a lot of detoxification, you may benefit from some sort of binder such as enterosgel. This helps the body further release these toxins, especially if you're currently gut health or overall organ heatlth is sub-optimal.
Toxic Materials?
Portable home infrared saunas oftentimes are made with materials that can release harmful VOCs into your household and leave it smelling poorly. 1Love 1 person infrared saunas are made with all non-toxic materials to ensure minimum VOC release. It is important to note that with any new product, the first time heat up maybe have a slight smell to it, but this will remedy after simply a day or two.
What Is The Shipping Weight?
The packages being shipped are rather large, with the single person infrared sauna dome, the package weight for the standard size is 69lbs. The package weight for the XL side is about 92lbs. This is primarily due to the packing so ensure your personal sauna gets to you safely.
In regards to moving the two lightweight domes, they range from 15-20lbs each, this is generally not an issue for most people
What Makes Our Far Infrared Sauna the Best?
A 1love portable infrared sauna emcompasses everything good that the best affordable saunas have to offer, but better. We always publish our EMF readings to ensure they are the safest on the market. Many companies will send thier portable sauna to a third party, but they will remove the heating elements prior, to get a better reading. We test portable infared sauna fully assembled and in normal use.
Most portable home saunas also emit high VOCs which can be dangerous. We use high quality, non-toxic material have no harmful chemical release.
We also offer the hottest far infrared sauna on the market. Our saunas reach a maximum temperature of 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Many portable home saunas can only reach temperatures below 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Additionally, our control boxes have zone control so that you can set the temperature range to your exact liking for each section of the sauna dome.
How Long Should I Sauna?
Optimal sauna dome use time is dependent on the frequency of sauna use. It is recommended to get at least 58 minutes of sauna sessions per week. This means you could break down your far infrared sauna dome use into one day, with careful hydration, or separate it into a few sessions throughout the week. The goal should be to keep each sauna session at a minimum of 20 minutes long. This allows the body to heat up enough to leverage all of the health benefits that infrared saunas have to offer.
Is This a Two Person Sauna?
The 1Love Sauna dome is not a two person sauna; however, to get even close to the safety and quality of our sauna, in a two person wooden sauna you'd need to spend upwards of $6000, so it may actually be cheaper to get multiple sauna domes instead.
The Sauna Dome vs a Lightweight Steam Sauna
To put it simply, there is just no proper comparison here. While some lightweight steam saunas can be great, they're extremely cheap and are for a reason. These saunas generally do not get very hot, are generally uncomfortable, very difficult to clean and do not last long. Truthfully, the more affordable sauna here in the long run would be the sauna dome because you'd be able to leverage more health benefits, with no parts breakage and an amazing warranty. The sauna dome is completely dry so it won't damage your home. It is far more comfortable because you can just lie down and relax. The max temperature is much higher than a steam sauna tent as well so you will get overall better sauna sessions. If you have high sauna usage, the sauna dome is the way to go every time.
Sauna Blanket vs Sauna Dome
The sauna blanket is a fantastic entry point into far infrared saunas or just a dry sauna in general. The biggest differences between a sauna blanket and a sauna dome is that the sauna dome is far more comfort and gets hotter. This is simply due to the inherit design of a sauna blanket where the material is constantly touching you. This means it must not reach as high of temperatures to avoid burns; however, this is still a great one person sauna and the chances are you'd be happy with either one, but if you're an avid sauna user, opt for the sauna dome.
What Materials Are Used?
1Love sauna domes use high quality, PU non-toxic leather in order to help mitigate any VOCs. Many portable saunas have issues with emitting bad smells and VOCs. This is why we choose non-toxic materials. It is important to note oftentimes there may be a slight smell from the new material heating up, but this goes away after a day or two. Our sauna domes also use a natural wood in the form of fir for the structure of the dome.
Is This Sauna Safe?
The 1Love sauna dome is extremely safe and one of the safest far infrared saunas on the market. In this type of infrared sauna you won't have to worry about something such as the quality of a glass door. We've personally tested some cheap cabin-style infrared saunas that failed to use tempered glass for a glass door that resulted in an extremely dangerous environment. The sauna dome is so simple that it is extremely safe for many ages. Additionally our sauna dome is fully grounded with copper which makes for zero EMFs, ELFs & VOCs.
